Intruder Critically Injured After Being Shot During Dallas Home Invasion Attempt

DALLAS, TX — An attempted home invasion in Dallas ended with the suspect in critical condition after being shot by a resident defending their home, according to the Dallas Police Department. The incident occurred during the afternoon, drawing a heavy police response to the residential neighborhood.

Police reports indicate that the suspect was actively attempting to force entry into the home when a resident inside confronted him. The homeowner, fearing for their safety and the safety of others inside, discharged a firearm, striking the intruder.
