Investigation continues following £1m cash depot raid in Liverpool

Ongoing investigation into G4S cash depot burglary

According to an article published by Liverpoolecho on 26 June 2025, Merseyside Police are continuing their search for a gang involved in a high-value burglary at the G4S Cash Solutions depot on Bridle Way. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, April 14, when five men reportedly broke into the facility.

Liverpoolecho reports that the suspects fled the scene, potentially using the nearby Loop Line to escape. The raid resulted in the theft of nearly £1 million in cash and jewellery. While a 53-year-old man from Walton was previously arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary, he has since been released under investigation, and no further arrests have been made.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Ball has appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward with information. Merseyside Police are asking witnesses to contact them via 101 or by messaging @MerPolCC, quoting reference number 25000306110, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

Businesses should regularly review and upgrade their physical security measures, including alarm systems and access controls, to deter unauthorized entry.
