Jefferson Park Marijuana Dispensary Hit by Smash-and-Grab Burglary and Subsequent Fire

A commercial cannabis dispensary located in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side has been the focus of multiple criminal incidents, starting with a destructive smash-and-grab burglary.

During the initial burglary, suspects drove a vehicle directly into the storefront of the dispensary, bypassing security gates to gain entry and steal product. The use of vehicles as battering rams has become an increasingly common tactic among organized retail theft rings targeting high-value goods like cannabis.

Adding to the business's troubles, a fire broke out at the same facility just weeks after the initial vehicular break-in, causing extensive damage.
