Burglary at a jewellery store in Sutton-in-Ashfield

According to an article published on 17 February 2026, a thief stole approximately £10,000 worth of watches and jewellery during a break-in at a jeweller's shop in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Uknewsyahoo reports that the perpetrator, identified as Kieron Millin, smashed a window and a glass cabinet on Market Street at around 2.45am on Thursday, 12 February.

Millin was captured on CCTV during the incident. Police arrested him later that morning at 9.50am while he was cycling through the town. Officers recovered some of the stolen items from his pockets and noted he was wearing one of the stolen watches. Millin pleaded guilty to the burglary at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 13 February and is currently remanded in custody awaiting sentencing at Nottingham Crown Court on 6 March.
