Burglary at a London residence

According to an article published on 1 January 2025 by the BBC, a burglar stole more than £10m worth of jewellery and designer handbags from a mansion in St John's Wood, London. The BBC reports that CCTV footage captured a masked individual entering the property after attempting to gain access through a second-floor window.

The intruder reportedly climbed onto the roof before entering the home through a bathroom window. A spokesperson for the family, who was inside the property during the incident, noted that the thief moved through the house while staff were present in a basement room. The suspect was recorded on camera struggling to open cases containing valuables before placing them into a backpack. A reward of up to £1.5m has been offered as the investigation continues.

Ensure all windows and secondary access points are fitted with high-quality security locks and are properly engaged at all times to deter unauthorized entry.
