According to an article published by Mylondon on 5 February 2026, an independent jeweller in Richmond was the target of a robbery on Saturday, 31 January. At approximately 10.35am, two masked individuals used a sledgehammer to smash the window of Gregory & Co in Paved Court.

Footage of the incident shows the suspects looting goods from the display before fleeing the scene. During the robbery, a person inside the shop attempted to intervene, and a staff member worked to secure remaining items. According to Mylondon, a vehicle potentially linked to the crime has been recovered and is currently undergoing examination.

Superintendent Craig Knight of the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time. A spokesperson for the family-run business, which has operated in the area for over 45 years, expressed gratitude for the public support received following the event.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced glass and alarm systems, to deter potential intruders.
