According to an article published by Cornwalllive on 29 August 2025, police are investigating a high-value theft at the Clare Mason Studio on Chapel Street in Penzance. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 5.

Cornwalllive reports that two men entered the premises and removed an entire glass display containing 16 handmade gold rings set with precious stones. The suspects were seen fleeing the scene towards the Wharfside area via Chapel Street and Abbey Slip. Members of the public assisted officers by recovering six of the stolen rings, which had been dropped in nearby streets.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have released images of two men they wish to identify. Authorities are urging anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to come forward. Traders and second-hand dealers are also asked to report any suspicious attempts to sell these distinctive items.
