The robbery took place on the night of Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Ken Kee, located at 2129 S. China Place. According to the Chicago Police Department, two masked individuals armed with handguns burst into the establishment. The gunmen confronted staff and customers, demanding money from the cash register and robbing patrons of their personal belongings. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, disappearing into the surrounding Chinatown streets.
