Killeen Convenience Store Robbery and Shooting Leads to Arrest

On March 11, 2026, a robbery and shooting occurred outside a convenience store located at 2000 South W.S. Young Drive in Killeen, Texas. According to reports, the suspect entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on South W.S. Young Drive. During the escape, the suspect fired a shot, striking a nearby vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was later identified as 21-year-old Jose Antonio Garcia. Garcia was apprehended by police and charged with aggravated robbery and criminal mischief. The total value of the stolen cash is estimated to be $1,500. Police are appealing to the public for any additional information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
