Knifepoint Robbery and Arrest in Bridgeport

On October 1, 2023, a man was robbed at knifepoint in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The incident occurred at around 8:30 PM on the 100 block of Washington Avenue. The victim was approached by an unidentified suspect who brandished a knife and demanded his belongings. The suspect fled the scene with $1,000 in cash and a gold chain valued at $500.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident. Police responded to the scene and initiated a search for the suspect. The suspect was later apprehended by police officers on the 200 block of Washington Avenue. The arrest was made without further incident, and the suspect was taken into custody. Police have not released the name of the suspect at this time.
