Large Quantity of Jewellery Stolen in H. Samuel Shop Break-in

A commercial burglary at the H. Samuel jewellery store on Prospect Street in Hull city centre has prompted a major police investigation after a large quantity of jewellery was stolen. The raid occurred late in the evening on Sunday, 7 April 2024.

Humberside Police received reports of a suspected break-in at approximately 11:35 PM. Officers arrived at the scene to find that the suspects had forced entry, leaving behind severe damage to the main window and smashing multiple internal glass display cases to access the jewellery. The exact value of the stolen goods is yet to be fully disclosed, but police confirmed it represents a significant loss. Forensic teams are examining the scene, and detectives are reviewing city centre CCTV footage to identify the culprits. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from Prospect Street on Sunday night to contact them.
