Large-scale burglary at a commercial unit in Leeds

Investigation launched following theft of record players

According to an article published on 11 March 2026 by Examinerlive, West Yorkshire Police are investigating a significant commercial burglary in the Morley area of Leeds. Approximately 1,750 Audio Technica record players were stolen from a commercial unit during a break-in that occurred on 2 November 2025.

Examinerlive reports that suspects loaded the equipment into a lorry before fleeing the scene. The stolen items include several specific models, such as the AT-LP60XBK, AT-LP60XUSBGM, AT-LPW30TK, AT-LPW40WN, and AT-LPW50BTRW. Detectives from Leeds CID, who value the stolen goods at a six-figure sum, are appealing to the public for information regarding the theft or any suspicious bulk sales of these players.
