Legendary Houston Rapper Bun B Details Terrifying Home Invasion and Stand-off

HOUSTON, Texas — Legendary Houston rapper Bun B, one half of the iconic Southern rap duo UGK, has opened up about a terrifying home invasion at his Houston residence, during which an armed intruder pointed a gun directly at his wife's head.

The harrowing incident occurred on Thursday, November 27, 2025. According to Bun B (whose real name is Bernard Freeman), his wife, Queenie, opened the door expecting a delivery, only to be confronted by an armed intruder wearing a mask. The suspect forced his way into the home, demanding valuables and pointing a handgun at Queenie's head.

Hearing the disturbance from upstairs, Bun B grabbed his own handgun and rushed down to protect his wife. He confronted the armed intruder in their garage, leading to a shootout between the rapper and the suspect. Bun B fired multiple shots, striking the intruder, who then fled the scene in a vehicle. The suspect later checked himself into a local hospital with gunshot wounds, where he was arrested by police officers.
