Livermore man arrested for comic shop burglary, stolen Legos case

LIVERMORE, California — A Livermore man has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary at a local comic book and specialty shop, where high-value Lego sets and collectibles were stolen.

The burglary, which occurred overnight, involved forced entry into the store. The owner discovered the break-in the following morning, noting that several rare and expensive Lego sets, comic books, and other memorabilia were missing from the shelves. The total value of the stolen items was estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.

Following a detailed investigation by Livermore police detectives, including the analysis of fingerprint evidence and security footage, a local suspect was identified. Search warrants executed at the suspect's residence led to the recovery of a significant portion of the stolen merchandise. The suspect was subsequently arrested and booked on charges of commercial burglary and grand theft.

The store owner expressed relief at the recovery of the items, thanking the police department for their quick response. Police are continuing to investigate whether the suspect was working alone or was part of a larger ring targeting specialty hobby shops in the region.
