Louisville Store Clerk Injured in Shooting During South Louisville Food Mart Robbery

LOUISVILLE, KY — Metro Police are searching for masked suspects who fled the scene after shooting a store clerk during a robbery in south Louisville. The incident took place at a local food mart, leaving the clerk injured and the surrounding neighborhood on high alert.

According to investigators, the suspects entered the food mart wearing masks and brandishing firearms, demanding cash from the register. During the confrontation, one of the suspects discharged their weapon, striking the clerk. The suspect group then fled with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived.

Emergency medical personnel transported the injured clerk to a local hospital for treatment. Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the store and neighboring businesses in an effort to identify the suspects, who remain at large.
