Burglary at a business in Eastleigh

According to an article published on 8 January 2026, Portsmouth reports that a gang of burglars targeted a business located on Woodside Avenue in Eastleigh. The incident occurred between 5.24pm and 7.50pm on Saturday 3 January.

Portsmouth reports that several men travelling in a dark grey Audi A3 gained access to the site by using an angle grinder to force entry through fencing. Six micro excavators were stolen during the raid and subsequently loaded onto an Iveco Eurocargo lorry, which featured a white cab and a blue trailer with rear white doors. Both vehicles then departed the scene.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting incident number 44260005324, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Businesses are encouraged to regularly inspect perimeter fencing and security barriers to ensure they remain robust against unauthorized access.
