Man Accused of Murdering Arcade Security Guard During Armed Robbery

A violent incident at a local arcade has led to murder charges for a suspect accused of shooting and killing a security guard during a robbery in North Fort Myers. The community is mourning the loss of the security officer, who was killed while on duty trying to protect patrons and staff.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the suspect entered the arcade armed and demanded money. During the course of the robbery, the suspect opened fire on the security guard. The guard was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. A rapid response by deputies led to the arrest of the suspect near the scene shortly after the robbery occurred.
