Man Accused of Stealing Copper from Commercial Property in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. — A man is facing charges after being accused of stealing copper materials from a local Jackson business on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Metal theft remains a persistent issue for commercial properties in the region, often resulting in high repair costs and operational disruptions.

According to police reports, security personnel or management at the business noticed suspicious activity on the property and alerted authorities. Arriving officers were able to locate the suspect, who was found in possession of tools commonly used for dismantling plumbing and electrical components, alongside a stash of stolen copper. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
