Man arrested after gas station robbery on Indy's near south side

A man was taken into custody following a robbery at a gas station on the near south side of Indianapolis. The incident took place late Monday evening when a male suspect entered the gas station convenience store and demanded money from the cashier. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers responded quickly to the active robbery call and spotted a suspect matching the description nearby. After a brief pursuit, police apprehended the individual without further incident. The stolen cash was successfully recovered and returned to the business. The suspect faces multiple charges, including robbery, and is currently held at the Marion County Jail. Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
