Following a pursuit, police officers intercepted the vehicle on Churchbridge in Oldbury as it attempted to join the M5 motorway. Firearms officers successfully stopped the vehicle on the slip road, preventing it from entering the motorway network. The suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated burglary, dangerous driving, and possession of a knife, which was recovered from the vehicle. The slip road at junction 2 was temporarily closed while the incident was resolved. Police enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
