Man Beaten Unconscious and Robbed by Group of Males in Craigavon

CRAIGAVON — Police in Lurgan are appealing for witnesses following a violent assault and robbery that took place in the Westacres area of Craigavon. The incident, which occurred on the night of Friday, May 10, 2024, left a man unconscious after he was set upon by a group of males.

According to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), the victim was walking in the Westacres vicinity when he was approached by the group. The assailants struck and kicked the back of the victim's head, causing him to lose consciousness. While he was unresponsive, the group proceeded to ransack his belongings, stealing his wallet which contained cash and a bank card.

Police Release Suspect Descriptions

Investigating officers have released descriptions of two key suspects believed to be involved in the attack:

• Suspect 1: Described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with short blonde hair. He was wearing a blue jacket at the time of the incident.
• Suspect 2: Described as approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short black hair, and was wearing a bright pink top.

Appeal for Information

A PSNI spokesperson urged anyone who may have witnessed the assault, noticed suspicious activity, or captured dash-cam or CCTV footage in the Westacres area on Friday night to come forward.
