Man Injured in Near West Side Home Invasion on Washington Boulevard

CHICAGO, IL (Near West Side) — A violent home invasion on Washington Boulevard in Chicago's Near West Side neighborhood has left a male resident injured and police searching for suspects.

The incident took place inside a residential property on Washington Boulevard, where police say one or more intruders forced entry into the building. During the course of the home invasion, a confrontation occurred, resulting in injuries to the male occupant.

First responders arrived at the scene and treated the injured victim for non-life-threatening injuries before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. His current condition is reported as stable.

Chicago Police Department officers established a crime scene around the property, blocking off a portion of Washington Boulevard to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. No arrests have been made, and a description of the suspects has not been provided by the police.
