Man Pistol-Whipped and Robbed at Albany Park 7-Eleven

Violent Confrontation Inside Convenience Store

CHICAGO — A man was injured during an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Albany Park neighborhood. The victim was pistol-whipped during a confrontation with the suspect early in the morning.

According to Chicago police, an armed male entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register and personal belongings from people inside. During the encounter, the suspect struck the victim in the head with the firearm before fleeing the scene with stolen cash and items.

Medical Response and Police Investigation

Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the incident and treated the victim at the scene for non-life-threatening lacerations. The victim did not require hospitalization. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction and remains at large.

Police are reviewing internal surveillance footage from the 7-Eleven and neighboring storefronts to identify the assailant. Area Three detectives are leading the investigation, and no suspect description has been released to the public at this time.
