Man Wounded in Shooting at Skyland Boulevard Car Detail Shop

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Friday afternoon shooting at a commercial car detailing shop on Skyland Boulevard has left one man hospitalized and local authorities searching for answers.

Tuscaloosa Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at the local establishment, where they discovered a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency medical services arrived shortly thereafter, transporting the injured man to a local medical center for treatment. The severity of his injuries and his current condition have not yet been released to the public.

Detectives from the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit were called to the scene to head the investigation. Officers cordoned off the area around the detail shop, collecting forensic evidence and interviewing employees and potential witnesses who were in the vicinity when the shooting occurred.
