Married Couple Arrested for Theft of $4,000 Premium Guitar from Thousand Oaks Music Store

THOUSAND OAKS, CA — A married couple has been taken into custody by Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies after allegedly stealing a premium guitar valued at $4,000 from a local music store in Thousand Oaks.

The incident took place during normal business hours when the couple entered the retail store and began browsing the high-end instrument display. According to store staff and security footage, the suspects managed to bypass security tags, exit the store with the high-value guitar, and quickly flee the parking lot in an awaiting vehicle. Store management promptly notified the police, providing clear descriptions of the suspects and their getaway vehicle.

Utilizing local surveillance feeds, deputies located the vehicle traveling southbound and initiated a traffic stop. Both the husband and wife were detained without incident, and the $4,000 instrument was found undamaged in the backseat.
