Masked Man Arrested After Theft at Two New Lenox Pharmacies

NEW LENOX, IL — A 26-year-old masked suspect is in police custody following a series of rapid thefts targeting two local pharmacies in New Lenox. According to the New Lenox Police Department (NLPD), the individual was apprehended near the scene shortly after the incidents were reported.

Authorities received emergency calls regarding a masked man acting suspiciously and stealing merchandise from the retail establishments. The suspect allegedly targeted over-the-counter and prescription medications, stealing dozens of boxes before attempting to flee the area.

NLPD officers quickly responded to the locations, establishing a perimeter. Thanks to a swift response, officers spotted and detained the suspect a short distance away. All stolen medications were recovered, and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
