Masked robbers armed with machete and sledgehammer raid Cash Converters in Bradford

BRADFORD, West Yorkshire — A police investigation has been launched after a group of masked men armed with a machete and a sledgehammer carried out a terrifying robbery at a Cash Converters store in Bradford.

The incident took place at the Cash Converters branch located on the Avenue Retail Park. Witnesses reported seeing a group of masked individuals storm the premises, brandishing weapons and threatening staff and customers. One of the suspects was armed with a large machete, while another carried a sledgehammer, which was used to smash display cases inside the store.

Terrifying Daytime Heist

The robbers targeted high-value items, including jewelry and electronic devices, from the display cabinets. During the raid, staff and customers inside the retail park store were left deeply shaken by the display of violence. The suspects managed to flee the scene with a quantity of stolen goods before emergency services arrived.

West Yorkshire Police quickly cordoned off the area to conduct forensic examinations and gather evidence. Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage from the Avenue Retail Park and interviewing eye-witnesses who were in the area during the heist.
