Masked Suspect Jumps CVS Counter to Steal Prescription Medicine in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA — Springfield police are investigating a pharmacy robbery that took place on Wednesday afternoon, during which a masked suspect jumped over a CVS service counter to steal prescription medicine.

The incident occurred on October 8, 2025. Witnesses reported that a suspect, wearing a face mask to conceal their identity, entered the CVS pharmacy. The suspect bypassed the customer counter, leaped into the restricted pharmacy area, and demanded prescription medication. The individual grabbed several bottles of pharmaceuticals and fled the store on foot.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and store employees did not report seeing a weapon. Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives are now reviewing surveillance footage and asking anyone with information to contact the Springfield Police Department's investigations unit.
