Metro Police Search for Suspect in South Decatur Boulevard Strong-Arm Robbery

LAS VEGAS, NV — Detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are actively investigating a strong-arm robbery that took place on South Decatur Boulevard, prompting authorities to release a suspect description in hopes of generating tips from the public.

According to police, the robbery occurred along the busy South Decatur corridor, where the suspect used physical force to overpower a victim and steal personal belongings. Unlike armed robberies involving weapons, strong-arm robberies rely on physical strength, threats, or intimidation to coerce victims.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the call. The victim suffered minor scrapes and bruises during the encounter but did not require transport to a hospital. Investigators have spent the last day canvassing local businesses for security video that might show the suspect before or after the crime.

The suspect is described as a male, and police are asking anyone who was in the area of South Decatur Boulevard at the time of the incident, or who has dashboard camera footage, to reach out to the LVMPD Robbery Section. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Nevada to be eligible for a potential cash reward.
