Mount Laurel Man Charged in Connection with 2025 Medford Residential Burglary and Vehicle Theft
MEDFORD, NJ — A Mount Laurel man has been arrested and charged in connection with a residential burglary and vehicle theft that occurred in Medford, New Jersey, on New Year's Day in 2025. The arrest marks a major breakthrough in a year-long investigation led by the Medford Township Police Department.
The charges stem from a break-in reported on January 1, 2025, when homeowners returned to find their residence burglarized and their vehicle missing from the driveway. Medford detectives conducted an extensive forensic investigation, collecting physical evidence and analyzing local surveillance footage to identify potential suspects. The investigation eventually led to a male resident of Mount Laurel.
Following a review of the evidence, prosecutors authorized charges including third-degree residential burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property. The suspect was taken into custody and processed at the Burlington County Jail. Local law enforcement officials noted that persistence in tracking down forensic leads was key to securing charges in this cold case.
Medford Township Police officials reiterated their commitment to resolving property crimes, regardless of how much time has passed. The suspect is currently awaiting his initial court appearance in Burlington County Superior Court, while detectives continue to investigate if he is linked to any other unresolved thefts in the area.
