Much-Loved Dad Anthony Priestley Stabbed to Death During Coventry Burglary

A murder investigation is underway in Coventry after a 53-year-old father was fatally stabbed during an aggravated burglary at a home in Tile Hill. The victim has been identified as Anthony Priestley, a "much-loved" dad whose sudden death has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Emergency services responded to a call at an address on Aldrich Avenue on Tuesday morning, November 18, 2025. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics discovered Mr. Priestley with severe stab wounds. Despite immediate medical intervention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested a 28-year-old man, Alexander Neilson, who has since been charged with murder and aggravated burglary.

Following the tragedy, Anthony's family released a moving tribute, expressing their devastating loss: "Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again.
