Multiple Felony Charges Filed Against Cheyenne Pair in Tow Lot Incident

CHEYENNE, WY — A Cheyenne man and woman are facing multiple felony charges following a late-night incident at a local vehicle impound and tow lot, according to local law enforcement.

Police responded to reports of suspicious activity at the secure facility after a witness reported seeing two individuals scaling the perimeter chain-link fence. Upon arrival, officers spotted the suspects attempting to access a vehicle that had been previously impounded by the police.

When ordered to halt, the suspects attempted to evade officers, leading to a brief foot pursuit through the tow yard. Both were quickly apprehended. Investigation revealed that the pair had brought tools to force open the vehicle's doors and had also caused structural damage to the lot's fencing while gaining entry.

Both suspects have been arrested and booked on charges including third-degree burglary, conspiracy, criminal property damage, and resisting arrest. They are currently being held at the Laramie County Detention Center awaiting their initial court appearance.
