Muncie woman charged with robbery in alleged bid to steal detergent

MUNCIE, Indiana — A local woman has been arrested and charged with felony robbery following a confrontation during a shoplifting attempt at a local retail establishment, where she allegedly tried to steal laundry detergent.

According to Delaware County court records, the incident unfolded when store security personnel observed the woman attempting to leave the premises without paying for several containers of laundry detergent. When loss prevention officers confronted her near the exit, the situation quickly escalated.
