North Beach Taqueria Offers Free Lunch Reward After ATM and Safes Stolen

SAN FRANCISCO — The owners of Taqueria Zorro, a popular dining spot in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, are turning to the community for help after a group of thieves broke into the restaurant and stole an ATM and multiple safes.

In a unique effort to identify the suspects, the taqueria is offering a reward of free lunch for a month to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Security footage captured the entire break-in, showing multiple suspects working together to wheel the heavy ATM and safes out of the establishment.

Community Rallying Behind Local Business

The burglary occurred in the early hours of the morning. The thieves forced entry through the front doors, targeting the cash machines and secure boxes. The owners expressed deep frustration over the incident, noting the financial strain such break-ins place on local family-owned businesses.

“We want to make sure these people are caught so this doesn't happen to other small businesses in our neighborhood,” the store management shared. The San Francisco Police Department is reviewing the surveillance footage and urges anyone with information to contact investigators.
