NYC Deli Worker Slashed on Head in Violent Robbery Over $2 Soda

A routine shift turned violent for a New York City deli employee who was slashed in the head by a pair of robbers during an armed stick-up over a beverage valued at just two dollars.

According to the New York City Police Department and local sources, two suspects entered the convenience store and attempted to leave with a bottle of soda without paying. When the shop worker confronted the individuals, the encounter escalated rapidly. One of the suspects pulled out a sharp object and slashed the worker across the head, leaving him with a laceration that required immediate medical attention.

The suspects fled the scene on foot immediately after the assault. Emergency services arrived shortly after to treat the injured worker, who is expected to recover. Law enforcement officers are analyzing store security camera footage in an effort to identify and apprehend the violent pair, who remain at large.
