Oak Lawn Business Hashtag 95 Burglarized; Poker Machines Damaged

An Oak Lawn business, Hashtag 95, located on 95th Street, was targeted by thieves early on February 6, 2026. The incident has left the owner dealing with significant property damage and loss of cash.

According to the business owner and local authorities, the burglars forced entry into the establishment during the overnight hours. Once inside, the suspect(s) targeted the facility's poker and video gaming machines. Using heavy tools, they smashed the machines' outer casings to access and empty the cash boxes contained within.

Oak Lawn police were notified of the break-in early in the morning when the business owner arrived to open the shop and discovered the damage. Crime scene investigators processed the scene for prints and DNA evidence, while detectives are currently examining security video footage of the break-in. The owner expressed frustration over the rising tide of gaming machine burglaries in the area and called for increased security and police patrols along the 95th Street commercial corridor.
