Oakland Man Arrested in Connection with $1 Million South Sacramento Jewelry Store Heist

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A major investigation is underway in South Sacramento after a group of robbers executed a brazen daytime heist at a local jewelry store, escaping with merchandise valued at approximately $1 million. While police have successfully apprehended one suspect, several others remain at large.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the high-value robbery took place on July 23, 2025. A group of individuals entered the establishment and quickly began smashing display cases, grabbing high-end jewelry, and fleeing the scene. The entire incident was caught on the store's security cameras, providing investigators with key footage of the suspects in action.

Following a rapid response and coordinated investigation, law enforcement officers tracked and arrested one of the suspected robbers. The suspect has been identified as a resident of Oakland, California. He is currently facing multiple felony charges related to the heist, including grand theft and commercial burglary.

Despite the arrest, authorities emphasize that the investigation is far from over.
