Ocala Man Arrested for Shattering Store Window and Stealing Security Camera

OCALA, Florida — An Ocala man has been arrested and charged after allegedly shattering the front window of a local convenience store and stealing a security camera installed on the property.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours. According to police reports, officers responded to an alarm at a local convenience store. Upon arrival, they discovered that one of the store's glass windows had been completely shattered. A check of the premises revealed that a security camera had been torn from its mountings and stolen.

Despite the theft of the camera, investigators were able to use other surveillance assets and evidence from the scene to identify the suspect. He was subsequently located by Ocala Police Department officers and placed under arrest. The suspect has been charged with commercial burglary and criminal mischief. He was booked into the Marion County Jail to await further court proceedings.
