Officer-In-Volved Shooting Follows Home Invasion Robbery in Fresno; One Suspect Still at Large

FRESNO, California — A violent home invasion in Fresno ended in an officer-involved shooting, leaving one suspect wounded and hospitalized, while another suspect remains on the run.

The incident began when Fresno police officers responded to an emergency call reporting an active home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, officers encountered armed individuals at the residence. During the confrontation, at least one officer discharged their service weapon, striking one of the suspects. The wounded suspect was immediately detained and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. His current condition has not been fully disclosed, though he is expected to face multiple felony charges upon release.

A second suspect managed to flee the area, prompting a large-scale search involving K-9 units and air support. Police have set up a perimeter and are questioning witnesses. Residents in the immediate neighborhood were advised to remain inside their homes and report any suspicious activity as detectives continue their investigation at the scene.
