Officer-Involved Shooting in Livonia After Attempted Cellphone Shop Robbery
LIVONIA, Michigan — An attempted robbery at a local cellphone repair shop ended in gunfire when responding Livonia police officers confronted and shot the suspect. The incident took place during regular business hours, drawing a significant law enforcement response to the busy commercial area.
According to preliminary reports, police received an emergency call reporting an active robbery at the repair shop. When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered an armed suspect who refused to comply with verbal commands. The confrontation escalated, leading officers to discharge their weapons, striking the suspect. The suspect was immediately treated by emergency medical personnel and transported to a nearby hospital under police custody.
