One Arrested After Armed Robbery and Police Chase in Sioux City; Second Suspect at Large

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A dramatic sequence of events in Sioux City has left one suspect in police custody and another on the run. The incident began on January 14, 2025, when local authorities responded to a report of an armed robbery at a commercial location in the city.

According to the Sioux City Police Department, the suspects fled the scene of the robbery in a vehicle, prompting responding officers to initiate a pursuit. The chase wound through several city streets before the suspects' vehicle was brought to a stop. One of the suspects was quickly apprehended by officers and taken into custody. However, the second suspect managed to flee on foot and evade police capture.

Local law enforcement agencies deployed K9 units and aerial search support in an effort to locate the second suspect, but those efforts have so far yielded no results. Police have released a description of the individual at large and are urging anyone with information to contact the Sioux City Police Department immediately. The suspect currently in custody faces charges of armed robbery, felony eluding, and outstanding warrants.
