One Charged Following Teen Break-In at Altoona Tobacco Shop

ALTOONA, Pennsylvania — The Altoona Police Department has filed charges against one individual following an investigation into a break-in at a local tobacco shop involving several teenagers.

According to authorities, officers responded to an alarm at the establishment during the night. Upon arrival, police discovered evidence of forced entry and determined that a group of juveniles had entered the store and stolen merchandise before fleeing the scene. Officers were able to locate and identify several suspects shortly after the incident.

At least one individual has been officially charged in connection with the burglary, with charges including criminal conspiracy, burglary, and criminal mischief. Police are continuing to work with juvenile authorities regarding the involvement of the other teenagers in the group. Store owners are currently assessing the total value of the stolen inventory and property damage.
