One Killed After Shooting During Home Break-In in East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — A quiet neighborhood in east Charlotte became the scene of a deadly shooting on Sunday night following an apparent home break-in. Emergency medical officials and local police confirmed that one person lost their life during the incident, prompting a large-scale homicide investigation.

According to reports from Mecklenburg EMS Agency (Medic), first responders were dispatched to a residence in the eastern district of the city late Sunday evening following reports of gunfire.
