One suspect arrested in Taylorsville burglary, two still at large

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Law enforcement authorities in Taylorsville have taken one suspect into custody following a commercial burglary, while the search remains active for two additional suspects who fled the scene.

The incident occurred in the early hours of June 12, 2026, when patrol officers responded to a silent alarm at a local business. Upon arrival, officers observed three individuals attempting to load stolen merchandise into a waiting vehicle. When the suspects noticed the police presence, they scattered in multiple directions on foot.

Officers managed to apprehend one of the suspects after a brief foot chase. The suspect was booked into the county jail on multiple charges, including commercial burglary, theft, and fleeing from law enforcement. The other two suspects successfully evaded police and are believed to have left the area in a vehicle that was later found abandoned a few blocks away.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage and processing forensic evidence gathered from the abandoned vehicle to identify the remaining suspects. The public is urged to report any suspicious activity or information that could assist in locating the individuals still at large.
