Pittsburgh Man Charged With Rape and Kidnapping After Violent Home Invasion on Parkwood Road

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh man is facing a long list of severe felony charges following his arrest in connection with a violent home invasion, sexual assault, and kidnapping incident on Parkwood Road. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Calvin Bennett, was apprehended after a multi-agency search.

According to investigators, the incident took place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at a residence in the 400 block of Parkwood Road. Police report that Bennett, who was identified as the victim's former boyfriend, gained access to the home by breaking in through a top-floor window. Once inside, he physically assaulted and raped the victim.

The victim attempted to escape the residence to seek help, but Bennett allegedly forced her into his vehicle and drove away, holding her against her will. Following the attack, detectives from the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, with assistance from the Bethel Park Police Department, tracked Bennett to Highland Road in Bethel Park. He was taken into custody on Friday, February 6, 2026, without further incident.

Bennett has been charged with rape, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual assault, unlawful restraint, robbery, false imprisonment, and two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. He is currently held without bail at the Allegheny County Jail. The victim was treated for her injuries, and the investigation remains open as detectives finalize the case for prosecution.
