According to an article published by the Belfasttelegraph on 18 June 2025, a pizza restaurant in Bushmills, County Antrim, was targeted in a burglary involving three masked individuals. Police received a report of the incident shortly before 2.25am on Wednesday, 18 June.

Belfasttelegraph reports that the suspects used sledgehammers to damage the front door and windows of the premises before entering and causing further damage inside. Authorities stated that it is not believed that any items were taken during the incident, and no one was present inside the restaurant at the time.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is treating the event as a racially motivated hate crime. Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to contact them via 101, quoting reference number 107 of 18/06/25, or to provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures and ensure that alarm systems and surveillance equipment are fully operational to deter unauthorized access.
