Police Appeal After Gunman Robs Subway Store at Salford Shopping Centre

Police are appealing for public assistance following a terrifying armed robbery at a Subway takeaway outlet in Salford over the weekend.

The incident took place at the Subway store located within the Ellesmere Shopping Centre. Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports that an individual had entered the food establishment and threatened staff members. The suspect reportedly brandished what is believed to have been a handgun, demanding cash and valuables from the employees on duty.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an active investigation and have released a CCTV image of a person they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the crime. The incident has caused concern among local retail workers and shoppers at the Ellesmere complex.

Detectives are urging anyone who was in or around the Ellesmere Shopping Centre at the time, or who recognizes the individual in the CCTV image, to contact Greater Manchester Police or report information anonymously to Crimestoppers.
