CCTV appeal issued after Crewe robbery

According to Stokesentinel, Cheshire Police have released a CCTV image following a robbery that took place on 24 December 2023. The incident occurred in an alleyway situated between Buxton Avenue and Lea Avenue in Crewe.

Stokesentinel reports that the victim was riding his bicycle when he was approached by an unknown man. The suspect claimed to be on prison release from Preston and requested tobacco from the victim. After the victim stated he did not have any, the suspect stole the bicycle and fled the scene.

Officers are now seeking to identify the man shown in the released CCTV image, as they believe he may possess information relevant to the investigation. Members of the public who recognize the individual or have information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 25001048729.
