Police Apprehend Muncie Suspect Accused of Stealing Cash and Firearm

MUNCIE, Indiana — A Muncie resident is facing serious charges after police apprehended him in connection with a residential theft involving the loss of a firearm and approximately $1,500 in cash.

The incident occurred on November 21, 2025, when the victim reported that an individual had entered their property and demanded valuables, allegedly stating, "We need all that," before fleeing with the cash and a loaded handgun. Responding officers gathered details about the suspect's description and possible route of escape, launching a localized search of the surrounding neighborhoods.

The suspect was located and detained shortly thereafter. Officers successfully recovered the stolen cash and the firearm during the arrest. The suspect has been charged with grand theft and carrying a handgun without a license, among other related offenses, and is currently awaiting his initial court appearance.
