Police cordon established at Dundee WHSmith after overnight break-in

A prominent Dundee city centre retail store was taped off by police officers following an overnight break-in. The WHSmith branch on the high street became the scene of a police investigation, with blue and white police tape cordoning off the entrance to the public during the morning hours.

Local officers arrived at the scene early in the morning after reports of a break-in were received. Forensic investigators were seen conducting a sweep of the entrance and interior of the shop to gather fingerprint and DNA evidence. The break-in caused significant disruption to morning trade, with the store remaining closed to customers while security repairs were carried out on the damaged entrance.

Police Scotland have confirmed they are investigating the incident and are actively reviewing city centre CCTV footage. They are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area overnight and noticed any suspicious activity near the storefront to contact the police.
